Bag of Bird of Paradise Strelitzia seeds from Radis et Capucine. From our collection of exotic tree and plant seeds that can be sown almost anywhere in the world. Evoke the atmosphere of Guadeloupe or Martinique with Strelitzia. This tropical plant can be grown indoors and it's a must for those who want unusual, colourful flowers with more than a hint of the tropics. The Strelitzia flower is commonly called Bird of Paradise thanks to its distinctive shape. In silhouette, the flower looks just like an exotic bird perched on a high branch. These wonderful flowers defined paradise for 18th-century explorers who were captivated by their bright colours. Those explorers took the majestic plant to South Africa and it was named for Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who married King George III of England.
