Farm garden watering can with a fast-moving Mimosa pudica

Radis et Capucine Radis et Capucine

Mini watering can used as a plant pot for growing the sensitive Mimosa pudica, the strange plant that closes up when touched. Little hands will take pleasure in playing with this wonder of nature. A great introduction to gardening for 3-6 year olds.

More details

Here?s a pretty little watering can that makes an ideal plant pot for growing the curious and fascinating Mimosa pudica. Often called the sensitive or shy plant, it has compound leaves which rapidly fold in and droop when they are touched, hence the name. Children especially will have wonderful fun tickling the leaves and seeing how they react as they defend themselves from harm. In fact, you need only blow on the leaves for them to curl up. But don?t worry, they re-open again just minutes later. The Mimosa pudica is easy to grow and it likes undisturbed and shady areas. To cultivate, just rehydrate the coconut fibre provided with this kit from Radis et Capucine, sow some seeds and water regularly.

1 zinc watering can painted pink, with a diameter of 8 cm, and an overall length of 16 cm
2 coconut fibre pads of 6 cm in diameter, ready to be rehydrated
1 sachet of pink Mimosa pudica seeds to sow

Our advice: be careful not to touch the plant too often because it takes a lot of energy to return to its starting position. This is a delicate plant which should not be exhausted.
