This cute little fellow is looking for a good home. Will you look after him? Give him plenty of love, keep him regularly watered and he?ll do something really special for you. He?ll sprout a fine crop of healthy barley. Barley, a member of the grass family, is one of the world?s oldest cultivated grains and is grown around the world. You?ll find that it grows pretty fast; you?ll see the first shoots emerging within just a few days. Check your little dog every afternoon after school and you?ll see that his coat has grown a little more. When it becomes too long, and your faithful canine companion is beginning to look a little shaggy, just give him a trim. Don?t worry, the barley will continue to grow.

Our advice: sow the generously but don?t use all of them. Those you have left over can be set aside in a cool, dry location and used to produce a second crop later, when your first batch of barley has yellowed and faded.
