Collection of exotic plant seeds from around the world, ready to sow: Levant cotton seeds.
Here?s something very much out of the ordinary. Everyone wears it, but you?ll be the only one growing it in your home or garden! Yes, it?s cotton. Cotton is a shrub native to tropical and sub-tropical parts, which can grow up to 1.5m tall. Water and heat loving, after 5 to 6 months of growth it produces large flowers, which turn into capsules called bolls. In the fluffy interior of these, when they mature, can be found 20-50 black seeds, each surrounded by thousands of long white fibres. This is cotton, and it has been used by man for over 5000 years. Multiple wild varieties grow in Africa, Asia and America (some naturally coloured!). This is a Peruvian variety used in cotton fields throughout the world for its strength, whiteness and the length of its fibres.

What's in the sachet of cotton seeds?

How to cultivate cotton in Western Europe?
In warmer countries, sow the seeds at a depth of 1 cm In March/April outside in full sunlight, or at any time of the year inside. Keep the ground well moistened, but without excessive soaking (like a wet sponge wrung out) and place the pot near a window to keep a relatively high temperature during the day (a constant minimum of 20?C is imperative). The seeds will begin to germinate at the end of the week and soon you?ll have a truly majestic plant.
