Growing method:

• Coco soil: To get your flowers off to a good start, start by rehydrating the fertilized coco pellets: add 5 to 6 times their volume of water. They will swell quickly. Then fill the pot with this soil using a spoon, keeping a little coir aside to cover the seeds after sowing.
• Sowing: Before sowing, you can soak the seeds for a few hours in water at room temperature to encourage germination (optional but recommended). Then sow the seeds on the surface of the soil, or very shallowly (a few millimetres). Cover them gently with the rest of the moistened coco, without pressing down too hard.
• Watering: Preferably use non-chlorinated water (rainwater or filtered water). Water with a spray bottle to keep the soil slightly moist but never soggy. The idea: like a damp sponge, but not dripping. Too much water will slow down germination.
• Germination: Place the pot in the light, behind a glass pane or on a bright windowsill, without direct contact with a heater. The gentle heat and light will stimulate emergence. From April onwards, you can take the pot out into the sun (balcony, terrace, outdoor planter) if temperatures remain mild, with no risk of frost.
• Transplanting: Once the young shoots have reached a few centimetres, you can thin them out: keep the most vigorous ones in the pot, or transplant them to other containers. Be careful not to damage the roots.
• Flowering: If you take good care of your seedlings, you'll have pretty flowers to admire all summer long! They may attract butterflies, bees... and a few kisses too.
