1 terracotta pot 6 cm in diameter
2 groundnut seeds to plant
2 coconut lozenges to rehydrate

Cultivation method :

Coconut Lands: To promote successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water: they will instantly swell. Crumble them and fill the pot with a spoon. Keep a small portion to cover the seeds after sowing.
Seeding: Before sowing, remove the seeds from their shells. Sow 2 seeds per pot. Save the others for a later planting or to plant them directly on your balcony when time permits. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and tamp lightly.
Watering: Ideally, use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine). Prefer a watering in fine rain, ideally with a manual sprayer, to keep the soil simply moist without flooding it. Imagine the soil as a damp sponge, then drained. Do not let the coco substrate dry.
Germination: Expose them to sunlight behind a glass window, without placing them on a radiator, to promote rapid and abundant germination. Germination is fast and begins in a few days, with rapid growth of young shoots.
Planting: When the young plants reach 5 cm in height, keep only one plant per pot and transplant the others into new pots, planters or open ground if temperature allows, by spacing each plant 30 cm. Be careful when transplanting so as not to break stems or roots. Water to promote recovery.
Harvest: Peanuts are tubers (like potatoes) that are harvested between August and September, at the root. It is a tropical plant that needs heat and water, so you have to pluck the plant to get the peanuts. Remove the soil and let it dry in the sun.
