Cultivation mode :

• Coconut lands: To promote successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water: they will instantly swell. Do not forget to keep a small portion to cover the seeds after sowing.
• Cherry tomato inside: Open the bag and pour seeds into your hand. If they are too small, add sand to make it easier to sow. For sowing, sprinkle the seeds on the wet uncompact coconut soil, maximum 2 to 3 seeds per pot. Save the rest of the seeds for later sowing or to sow directly in your garden or on your balcony when the weather is nice. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and tamp lightly.
• Watering: Ideally use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine) Prefer a fine rain watering, ideally using a hand spray, to keep the soil just wet, without gorging with water, throughout the crop. Water the soil and not the leaves because it can bring diseases to young vegetables. Imagine the soil as a wet sponge then drained. Do not let the coconut soil dry.
• Germination: Expose to sunlight behind a glass, without putting on top of a heating, to promote rapid and abundant germination. Tomatoes take a few days to germinate and the plant grows quickly.
• Transplanting: When the seedlings emerge and reach 3 to 5 cm in height, select only one plant per pot and transplant the others into new pots or planters. Water to promote regrowth.
• Harvest: Let grow, keep only 3 or 4 bouquets of flowers per stem and cut over the second leaf after the bouquet. The harvest of red fruits is from June to October.
• Our advice: Cherry tomatoes are small, fragrant, firm and crunchy so it is in crudités, pecked at the aperitif that we appreciate them best. But in the garden this very productive variety can give large quantities of tomatoes, you can also make delicious sauces.
