Cultivation mode:
- Fertilized soil: To promote successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water; they will instantly swell. Unlayer them and fill each pot carefully. Remember to keep a small portion to cover the seeds after sowing.
- The sowing: opt for a variety of plants per pot and space the seeds as much as possible to obtain a homogeneous rendering. Save the rest of the bag for later planting or to sow directly in your garden or on your balcony when it is sunny. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and tamp lightly.
- Watering: ideally, use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine). Prefer a fine rain watering, ideally using a hand sprayer, to keep the soil just wet, without gorging it with water, throughout the culture. Do not let the coconut soil dry.
- Germination: Close the greenhouse to concentrate heat and maintain moisture, thus promoting a faster and more abundant germination. Watercress: the seeds germinate in 24 hours, and the leaves can be eaten as a salad after 2 days.
- The transplanting of seeds: No need to transplant; the seeds spread over the entire surface of the pots and grow directly in the mini-greenhouse.
- Harvest and flowering: the harvest takes 2 to 3 days. You can cut the stems with a chisel and eat the salad. The watercress will not grow back, but you can start a new seedling with the rest of the seeds.
Our advice: for the Capucine and the Sunflower, the size of the plant will adapt to the size of the pot. So if you are stealing large sunflowers and lots of capucine flowers, you should replant your small flower in a larger pot or in your garden.
