Growing method :

• Fertilized soil: To promote successful germination, start by soaking fertilized coconut soil pellets in 5 to 6 times their volume of water; they will swell instantly. Dissolve them and fill the pots with a spoon. Don't forget to keep a small amount to cover the seeds after sowing.
• Sowing: Before sowing, remove the seeds from the bags. Sow 2-3 seeds of one variety per pot. Keep the others for later sowing or to sow directly on your balcony when the weather's right. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and pack lightly.
• Watering: ideally, use rainwater or filtered (chlorine-free) water. Prefer light rainfall watering, ideally using a hand-held sprayer, to keep the soil just moist, but not waterlogged, throughout the growing period. Water the soil, not the leaves, as this can bring disease to young vegetables. Think of the soil as a wet sponge, then wring it out. Don't let the soil dry out.
• Germination: expose to sunlight behind glass, without heating, to encourage rapid and abundant germination. Watercress germinates within 24 hours. Tomatoes and basil also germinate quickly, starting within a few days.
• Transplanting: Once the seedlings have emerged and reached a height of 5 to 10 cm, select just one plant per pot and transplant the others into new pots or planters, or even into your garden if the outside temperature permits. Water to encourage regrowth and keep moist. Do not transplant watercress. Grow directly in the pot, spreading the seeds out as much as possible.
• Harvesting: Cress can be cut and eaten after 3 days. The longer you wait, the hotter it will be. For a new harvest, resow seeds. Basil grows quickly and can be eaten after 4 to 6 weeks by cutting off the larger leaves without cutting the stems. Tomatoes bear fruit after 2 months, just after flowering. Transplanting your tomato plant into a larger pot will ensure more tomatoes.

Our advice: the pots can be grown indoors behind a sunny window, but you have enough seeds in the bags to try growing basil and cherry tomatoes in larger pots on a balcony or directly in the ground in your garden.
