Cultivation mode :

• Coconut Lands: To promote successful germination, start by dipping the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water: they will instantly swell. Do not forget to keep a small portion to cover the seeds after sowing.
• Sowing: Open the bag and pour the seeds into your hand. If they are too small, add sand to facilitate sowing. For sowing, sprinkle seeds on the wet soil of non-compact coconut, 2 to 3 seeds maximum per pot. Save the remaining seeds for a later sowing or to sow them directly in your garden or on your balcony when it is sunny. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and tamp lightly.
• Watering: Before planting, use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine). Use a fine rain sprinkler, preferably with a hand sprayer, to keep the soil just wet, without showering it with water, throughout the crop. Do not let the coconut soil dry. Close to planting, lavender has only one cultural enemy: excess moisture in the air and soil, so moderate your watering.
• Germination: Expose to sunlight behind a glass, without putting directly on a radiator, to promote rapid and abundant germination. Alternatively, from April onwards, expose your balcony, window sill or terrace to the sun. Lavender seeds take at least a week to germinate and then grow if well watered.
• Planting: When the seedlings measure 3 cm, keep only the strongest ones. For a potted crop, repot in autumn. For a garden planting, keep the pots throughout the winter for installation in early spring, leaving 50 to 70 cm between each foot.
• Flowering: The lavender blooms the following year between July and September. Quick tip before harvesting lavender to fill small cloth bags: suspend all watering 15 days before harvest to exalt the production of essential oil.
