Composition :
- 1 Weck glass jar of 700mL
- 1 ceramic pot green
- 1 sachet of Parsley "Giant of Italy" Bio to sow
- 4 coconut lozenges to rehydrate
- 1 Sisal twine
Cultivation mode :
- Coconut lands: To promote successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water: they will instantly swell. Do not forget to keep a small portion to cover the seeds after sowing.
- Sowing: Open the bag and pour seeds into your hand. If they are too small, add sand to make it easier to sow. For sowing, sprinkle the seeds on the wet uncompact coconut soil, maximum 2 to 3 seeds per pot. Save the rest of the seeds for later sowing or to sow directly in your garden or on your balcony when the weather is nice. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and tamp lightly.
- Watering: Ideally use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine). Prefer a fine rain watering, ideally using a hand sprayer, to keep the soil just wet, without gorging it with water, throughout the culture. Think of the soil as a wet sponge and then wrung out. Do not let the coconut soil dry.
- Germination: Expose to sunlight behind a glass, without putting on top of a heating, to promote rapid and abundant germination. Otherwise, from April on, expose yourself to the sun on your balcony, window sill or terrace. Germination takes 3 weeks for the Parsley and the plant grows quickly if it does not lack water.
- Transplanting: Keep 8 to 10 plants for a 12 cm diameter pot. Replant the others in your garden.
- Harvest: Harvest as needed, two months after sowing, between spring and autumn Flowering in summer, the year following sowing.
- Our advice: Parsley is a biennial plant, which means that it grows, flowers and produces seeds over a period of two years. But in cultivation, pot or garden, it is treated as annual, the quality of the leaves of the year is much better. Therefore, the seedlings must be renewed every year.
