Vivarium for observing plant roots and earthworms
The perfect way to see nature ... from below!
This clear plastic vivarium with a lid allows you to watch two kinds of nature:
Flora: sow the carrot, peanut and radish seed provided and watch as they take root!
Fauna: introduce earthworms so you can see them burrowing and reproducing!
For a perfect soil medium, apply differently coloured earth in various strata and watch how the earthworms mix it up. The vivarium is also equipped with a recessed reservoir so you can remove any excess water from the bottom.
Also included in this great kit is an educational poster explaining plant life (the mysteries of germination, how a plant grows, underground life, gas exchange...) and all the fun you can have with this vivarium (plant watering, light labyrinth, quizzes ...)! Happy discoveries! Product nominee at Kid Expo 2011

Earthworm are living creatures that must be fed. Scatter dead leaves on top of the soil and water regularly! Don?t sow the seeds simultaneously, and you?ll have some left for next time. Sow close to the sides so you get a good view of the roots. Keep the cache for the culture, don?t remove that for observation!
