Strawberry seeds to grow 8 cm planting kit

Cultivation mode:

• Fertilized soil: to promote successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water; they will instantly swell. Unlayer them and fill the pot with a spoon. Do not forget to keep a small part to cover the seeds after sowing.
• Sowing: open the bag and pour seeds into your hand. If they are too small, add sand to make it easier to sow. For sowing, sprinkle the seeds on the wet, uncompact coconut soil, a maximum of 2 to 3 seeds per pot. Save the rest of the seeds for later sowing or to sow directly in your garden or on your balcony when the weather is nice. Gently cover the seeds with fertilized coconut soil and tamp lightly.
• Sowing period: July or December, preferably, or all year long sheltered.
• Watering: ideally, use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine). Prefer a fine rain watering, ideally using a hand sprayer, to keep the soil just wet, without gorging it with water, throughout the culture. Think of the Earth as a sponge that is wet and then drained. Do not let the coconut soil dry.
• Germination: expose to sunlight behind a glass, without putting on top of a heater, and ideally with a plastic water bottle cut out to serve as a greenhouse. Seeds can take a week to germinate. Keep the seedlings under the plastic bottle for as long as possible to retain heat and moisture. The plant then grows normally if well watered.
• Transplanting: when the seedlings emerge and reach a height of 5 cm, select one plant per pot and transplant the others into new pots or planters, or directly in your garden, 20 cl away, as soon as the soil temperature is no longer cold. Be careful to be delicate, not to break the stems or roots when transplanting. Water to promote growth.
• Harvest: 12 months after planting.

Our advice: the scent and taste of wild strawberries are so subtle that you have to prepare them in the simplest way to not spoil them. Mix 150 g mascarpone, 2 egg whites, and 1 bag of vanilla sugar. Place a thin layer of biscuit on the bottom of the verrines, alternate layers of mixture and strawberries cut in half, and finish with a layer of strawberries and a thin layer of biscuit. Cool before serving.
