Composition:

1 5.5cm terracotta pot
1 coconut earth tablet
1 sachet of Epicea seeds

Growing Instructions:

Soil: To encourage successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut soil pellets in 5 to 6 times their volume of water — they will instantly swell. Break them up and use a spoon to fill the pot. Don’t forget to keep a small amount aside to cover the seeds after sowing.
Sowing: Open the seed packet and pour some seeds into your hand. If they are too small, mix them with sand to make sowing easier. Sprinkle the seeds over the moist, loose coconut soil — no more than 2 to 3 seeds per pot. Save the remaining seeds for later sowing or to plant directly in your garden or on your balcony when the weather is warmer. Gently cover the seeds with the reserved fertilized coconut soil and lightly press down.
Watering the fir seeds: Ideally, use rainwater or filtered (chlorine-free) water. Opt for gentle watering, preferably using a hand-held spray bottle, to keep the soil just moist — not soaked — throughout the growing period. Think of the soil as a damp sponge that’s been wrung out. Do not let the coconut soil dry out.
Germination: Place the pots in sunlight behind a window, but not directly above a heater, to promote quick and abundant germination. Otherwise, from April onward, place them in full sun on your balcony, windowsill, or terrace. Conifer seeds take a few days to germinate and soon resemble a tiny tree. Be patient — it's a tree, so growth will be slow.
Transplanting: Once the seedlings emerge and reach a height of 3 to 5 cm, select only one plant per pot and transplant the others into new pots. Be careful not to damage the stems or roots during transplanting. Water the plants to help them take root.
Harvest: The little fir tree will grow slowly and reach around 5 cm after 2 weeks. After a month, it may reach 8 to 10 cm. You can keep it in a pot for at least 6 months before planting it in the ground.
