- 4 compressed coco peat discs, 30 mm
- 1 packet of banana tree seeds
Growing Instructions:
- Coco soil: Before setting sail on your adventure, prepare your loot! Soak the coco pellets in 5 to 6 times their volume of water. Like a treasure chest overflowing with riches, they will swell in just a few minutes. Once fully expanded, stir them with a spoon to create a fine soil, and fill your little pirate pot. Save some soil to cover the seeds after sowing.
- Sowing: Open the packet of banana tree seeds — real rare coins from distant islands! Take a few in your hand. Sow 2 or 3 seeds per pot, pressing them about 1 cm deep into the soil, as if hiding treasure beneath the sand. Cover them with some coco soil and gently press down with your finger to shelter them.
- Watering: Sprinkle some soft water (rainwater or chlorine-free water) over your pot like a gentle tropical rain on your secret island. Use a spray bottle or a watering can with a fine spout. The soil should stay moist but not soaked. Water lightly every day if the soil dries out — the seeds need a warm, gentle climate to wake up!
- Germination: Place your pot in a warm, bright spot, but shielded from scorching sun. The banana tree is a tropical plant — it loves warmth! Seeds take a long time to germinate — between 3 and 6 weeks, sometimes longer. But don’t lose hope, young pirate: every good treasure is worth the wait, and each sprout is a sailor’s victory.
- Transplanting: When the little shoots reach about 5 cm, choose the strongest and transplant it into a bigger pot or a sunny spot. The roots are still fragile: handle them carefully, like a treasure map you don’t want to damage.
- Growth: The banana tree loves sun, humidity, and warmth. Water regularly and keep your little pirate palm in a bright place. As it grows, it will spread large exotic leaves like ship sails ready to set sail.
